Canby Bible College (originally Leadership Training Institute) was founded in 1998 under the vision of Pastor Ron Swor and administration of Pastor Al Carpenter. Pastor Carpenter served as the school's founding director until 2005. He was succeeded by Dr. Jeremy Wallace, presently Dean of the College. In the spring of 2008, Pastor Swor appointed CBC's first provost, Dr. Jim Dodge. Under the leadership of these men, CBC has carried out its purpose to equip students to be disciple-makers of Jesus Christ, fostering an educational, relational and missional ethos. To equip students for ministry, a highly credentialed faculty with decades of ministry and educational experience, implements a two-year curriculum in which the entire Bible is surveyed, giving students a solid foundation of the central doctrines, messages and themes contained in the Scriptures. In addition, several classes are offered which equip students in the areas of leadership, biblical interpretation and research, church history and theology, augmented with practical "hands-on" ministry experiences in the context of the local church. To resource students in completing the class assignments, CBC maintains a library containing over 3,000 volumes, software programs and periodicals that are recognized as classic resources for biblical studies.
In 2000, Canby Bible College was recognized by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel as a "Certified, Church-Based Bible College." In 2001, CBC was also authorized by the State of Oregon to confer an Associate of Christian Ministry degree upon those who graduate from the two-year program.
CBC currently has transfer arrangements with Life Pacific College, The King's University, Pacific Life Bible College, Pacific Rim Christian College, and New Hope Christian College (formerly: Eugene Bible College). In fulfillment of our mission statement, over 75% of all CBC graduates have gone on to serve in full or part-time ministry or have continued their education at other colleges.

Don't miss this great opportunity to support an amazing ministry. It is only through generous support that we are able to keep our tuition incredibly low, allowing students to graduate with an Associate of Christian Ministry degree with no debt. And our instructors are highly credentialed, wonderful teachers who practically donate their time and talents to the work of "equipping laborers for the harvest."
